One of the most frequently asked questions I get is: “When is the best time to visit Orlando?”
In this article, I’ll guide you month by month through the crowd predictions and major holidays to avoid in 2025.

These predictions are based on my numerous trips to Orlando and a variety of online “crowd calendars,” with a particular focus on Walt Disney World, the true heart of the area.
JANUARY
🟢 Low crowd levels all month, except for the first four days of the year.
🔴 High crowds from January 8-12 due to the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend.
➡️ January 17 – Start of Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
FEBRUARY
🟢 Low crowds in the first half of the month.
🔴 High crowds on February 17 for Presidents’ Day.
🔴 High crowds from February 20-24 for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend.
➡️ February 24 – End of Epcot International Festival of the Arts.
MARCH
🟠 Moderate crowds in the first half of the month (depends on Carnival).
🔴 High crowds for the start of Spring Break, which begins in late February and peaks in the second and third weeks of March.
➡️ March 5 – Start of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
APRIL
🔴 High crowds due to the end of Spring Break and Easter (April 20, 2025).
🔴 High crowds from April 3-6 for runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend.
MAY
🟢 Low crowds in the first half of the month.
🟠 Moderate crowds on Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2025).
🔴 High crowds starting May 22 for the opening of Epic Universe.
JUNE – JULY
🔴 High crowds throughout both months.
➡️ June 2 – End of Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
AUGUST
🟠 Moderate crowds until August 15, but lower than in April.
🟢 Low crowds from August 15 until the end of the month.
➡️ Mid-month – Start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
➡️ August 28 – Start of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
SEPTEMBER
🟢 Low crowds all month, except for:
🔴 High crowds on Labor Day (September 1, 2025).
OCTOBER
🟢 Low crowds all month, except for:
🟠 Moderate to high crowds during Columbus Day week (October 12, 2025).
🔴 High crowds from October 23-26 for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
🔴 High crowds leading up to Halloween (October 31).
➡️ End of the month – End of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
NOVEMBER
🟠 Moderate crowds all month, except for:
🔴 High crowds during Thanksgiving week (November 27, 2025).
➡️ Early November – Christmas decorations and events begin in all parks.
➡️ End of the month – End of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.
DECEMBER
🔴 High crowds all month.
