Energylandia is a very young park—it opened in July 2014—but in recent years it has been making a name for itself thanks to record-breaking coasters that keep expanding the list of attractions for thrill-seekers.

But let’s take it step by step.

WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

Energylandia is located in Zator, Poland, about 50 km west of Krakow.

It is easily accessible from Krakow Airport (KRK), which is about 45 km away.

WHAT DOES ENERGYLANDIA OFFER?

The park is divided into 6 different areas:

  1. LITTLE KIDS ZONE
  2. FAMILY ZONE
  3. EXTREME ZONE
  4. WATER PARK ZONE
  5. DRAGON ZONE
  6. AQUALANTIS

The first 3 areas aren’t clearly defined—attractions from one category are often found in another area and vice versa. However, the last 3 areas are well defined and themed; they are also the most recently built.

In the LITTLE KIDS and FAMILY ZONE, you’ll find many fair-style rides, as well as some familiar ones like the Polish versions of Gardaland’s Doremifarm and Volaplano.

EXTREME ZONE

Even in the EXTREME ZONE, you’ll find some fairground-style rides, but in recent years, they’ve added some real gems:

  • MAYAN – a smoother, more enjoyable extended clone of Blu Tornado
  • MOYA FORMULA – a launch coaster accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.2 seconds
  • SPEED – a water coaster similar to Mirabilandia’s Divertical, but with a longer track
  • HYPERION – the crown jewel of this land, and perhaps of the entire park, featuring a drop of over 80 meters, an 85° vertical angle, and a top speed of 140 km/h—truly mind-blowing stats!

WATER PARK ZONE

Calling it a “ZONE” is an understatement. The WATER PARK ZONE is a full water park complete with pools and water play areas for kids, slides for adults, tons of lounge chairs, bathrooms, changing rooms, lockers, and lots of dining options.

And it’s ALL included in your admission ticket!

DRAGON ZONE

DRAGON ZONE is one of the latest themed lands opened at Energylandia.

Once you pass through the entrance gate, you’ll be immersed in a detailed fantasy-themed area—even the shops and restaurants follow the theme. Well done!

DRAGON ZONE features 5 attractions, 4 of which are “family-friendly”, but ZADRA is for the brave only.

ZADRA ENERGYLANDIA

Zadra is the largest WOODEN ROLLER COASTER in the world.

Here are Zadra’s impressive specs:

  • 63.8 meters high
  • 90° drop angle
  • 3 inversions
  • Top speed of 121 km/h
  • 1 minute and 50 seconds ride time

AQUALANTIS

The newest land at Energylandia—and it shows.

In addition to its ocean-themed design, the wide walkways, shops, restaurants, and even the restrooms are beautifully themed!

There are 9 attractions here, mostly family-friendly, but ABYSSUS is the cherry on top of AQUALANTIS.

Abyssus is a double launch coaster—it reaches a height of 38 meters, a top speed of 100 km/h, and features 5 inversions. Pure fun!

IS IT WORTH VISITING?

If you’re a fan of thrills and big coasters, the answer is definitely YES.

The wide variety of adrenaline-pumping attractions and ride types will fully satisfy your craving for excitement.

If you’re looking for grand shows, dark rides, or ultra-immersive lands, you might be disappointed.

Right now, Energylandia isn’t quite at that level—sure, the last two lands are fully themed, and a new one is set to open next year, but theming isn’t yet consistent across the entire park. That said, it’s definitely heading in that direction.

We still had a great time despite the constant rain!
