The 7 UNMISSABLE Experiences at Europa Park

The 7 UNMISSABLE Experiences at Europa Park

With more than 100 attractions, selecting a TOP 7 of the unmissable experiences at Europa Park is no easy task.

With just under 6,000,000 visitors per year, Europa Park is the second most visited theme park in Europe, just after Disneyland Park in Disneyland Paris, but it has won the GOLDEN TICKET AWARD as the best park in the world for 7 consecutive years.

If you want to learn more about this park, I invite you to take a look at my full review where you’ll find all the information you need to plan a trip to the best theme park in the world.

What are the 7 UNMISSABLE experiences at Europa Park?

I’ll skip the shows because they may vary over the years and seasons, but they are also of the highest quality.

Even the food at Europa Park matches the high standards of everything else, which is why I’m starting my TOP 7 with a rather unusual restaurant.

#7 Food Loop

foodloop europa-park

Located in the Luxembourg area, this is the first restaurant where food takes a ride on a roller coaster before reaching your table!

No worries—it’ll arrive intact, hot, and very tasty.

With its 215 seats, Food Loop can be considered a true Europa Park attraction, exclusive to the Mack family, owners of the park.

Once seated, you can order your food and drinks via touchscreen and watch them race toward your table along the roller coaster tracks!

Although it’s quite large, it’s also very popular—sometimes even following my rule #7 “have lunch at 12:00”, you can find the other 11 here, won’t guarantee you a spot. My advice? Go for a snack/dinner around 5:30/6:00 PM.

Germans have unusual dinner hours, so plan ahead.

#6 Blue Fire Megacoaster

Blue Fire Europa Park

With its 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, it’s the smoothest and most comfortable magnetic launch coaster I’ve ever ridden.

Located in the Iceland area and sponsored by a methane gas company—hence the name Blue Fire—this launch coaster is truly enjoyable.

You’ll even have a heart rate monitor in front of you during the ride—who among you will set the record?

#5 Silver Star

Silverstar Europa Park

The “Silver Star” is one of Europa Park’s tallest and largest steel roller coasters!

With a height of up to 73 meters, a top speed of 130 km/h, and massive 4G centrifugal forces, this coaster offers a truly unique mix of speed and weightlessness.

Located in the French area, it’s the first attraction you’ll see when arriving at Europa Park, as much of the track runs through the parking lot!

Silver Star POV

If you want to fully enjoy the thrill of Silver Star, I recommend riding in the front row—there’s a dedicated queue for it.

#4 Piraten in Batavia

Piraten in Batavia

For many years a crown jewel of Europa Park, it was destroyed in a dramatic fire in 2018 that also affected the entire Scandinavian area.

After two years of hard work, in 2020, Piraten in Batavia reopened its doors to impress us even more.

Maybe the animatronics aren’t quite Disney-level, but everything else far exceeds our usual standards.

#3 ARTHUR – In the Minimoys Kingdom

ARTHUR

At the third spot on the podium, I’ve chosen this extraordinary attraction.

This is not just an attraction, not just a dark ride—it’s a fully immersive indoor land.

Once inside this magical atmosphere, you’ll find a play area, mini drop towers, a bar, and a small food shop.

Everything is fully themed, including the bathrooms.

#2 Voletarium

Voletarium europa park

Voletarium is the most amazing flying theater I’ve ever experienced—better even than Soarin’ at EPCOT.

The immense panoramic screen, wind effects, scents, and range of motion will fully immerse you in a journey through Europe’s most iconic landmarks.

Goosebumps!

Since it’s right at the park entrance on the left, if you don’t go early, lines can get very long.

So go early—even 30 minutes before the official opening time, you can already enter the park and get in line.

#1 Wodan Timbur Coaster

Wodan Europa Park

With a top speed of 100 km/h and a height of 40 meters, it’s currently the second tallest and fastest wooden coaster in Germany, third in Europe for both categories.

Its 1,050-meter track intersects with two other attractions, Blue Fire and Atlantica, in the same area.

Despite the speed, the onboard comfort is excellent—the vibrations are part of the experience but never cross the threshold of discomfort.

Wodan is by far my favorite attraction at Europa Park, and also my favorite coaster I rode in 2021.

Europa Park General Tips

Since the park has a narrow and long layout, make sure to plan your day well—otherwise, you’ll easily walk over 20 km without experiencing many attractions.

Arrive early—the gates open around 8:15 AM. The attractions on the main street and in the Italian area start operating right away, so take advantage of it.

Make the most of your time.

The park usually closes at 6:00 PM, but you can still queue up until the exact closing time—no one will kick you out, even if you wait two hours to get on a ride.

And you?
