It may sound simple, but clearly it’s not at all—as in the past few weeks, no fewer than five people have contacted me because they couldn’t buy Walt Disney World tickets for just one day!

Let’s set aside the fact that there’s a lot to see at Walt Disney World and in the Orlando area (HERE you’ll find my personal selection of the best parks in Florida). If you only have one day available, I highly recommend spending it at Magic Kingdom—the most visited theme park in the world!

Until recently, it was possible to purchase one-day tickets with a little workaround, but now it’s no longer possible to buy one-day Walt Disney World tickets from the official European website.

As you can see, the 1-day option is missing

Yes, I said European site, because you should know there are two versions of the official website—a European one and an international one.

If you try to access the international site from Europe, you’ll be automatically redirected to the European one—and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Don’t think you can just buy your ticket directly on-site or once you’ve arrived in the United States to bypass this issue.

As I explain in my Walt Disney World guide (you can download the first chapter for free), tickets should be purchased well in advance. And once you have them, you’ll also need to reserve your park day on the official website.

How to Buy Walt Disney World Tickets from Italy

Don’t worry—I’ve got two methods to solve this problem. The first one is super easy and comes with lots of benefits. The second is a bit more nerdy.

Easy Method

Before explaining this method in detail, here are its advantages:

  • Website in Italian
  • Transaction in Euros
  • Customer support in Italian via phone
  • Cancelable tickets
  • Option to pay in 3 interest-free installments via Scalapay

Scalapay

Buying tickets is very simple:

  1. Go to my official ticket site by CLICKING HERE
  2. Select the category: parks – amusement parks – United States – WDW tickets
  3. Enter your desired date – number of adults and children
  4. Click “new search”
  5. Click “buy” next to the ticket you want
  6. Fill in your personal details
  7. Select your payment method

Nerd Method

As mentioned earlier, you can’t access the international site from Europe, so we need to “simulate” being in the United States to do so.

But before we continue, keep in mind that you won’t have the same advantages as with the easy method—especially the last two.

Tickets bought from the official Walt Disney World site are not cancelable and cannot be paid in installments, and considering how much they cost, that’s something to seriously consider.

Nerd Procedure:

  1. Purchase a VPN service
  2. Set your location to a U.S. state
  3. Visit the official park website
  4. From the top menu, choose Parks & Tickets – Theme Park Tickets – Standard Theme Park Ticket
  5. Click continue
  6. Select the number of days
  7. Choose ticket type (1 Park Per Day or Park Hopper)
  8. Select your visit date
  9. Choose the number of tickets
  10. Click continue
  11. Click Check Out
  12. Create your account
  13. Proceed with payment
The international site includes the 1-day option

Conclusion

Now it’s up to you to decide how to buy your Walt Disney World tickets—with the easy method or the nerdy one. Either way, you’ve just taken one more step toward the trip of your dreams!

Since you’ve read this far, here’s one more tip—skip all the hassle and just focus on the fun by joining one of my group trips to Orlando, which I organize regularly.
