Opened on June 13, 2012 at Disney California Adventure—the second park within the Disneyland Resort—Cars Land is the only CARS-themed area in the world.

The story goes that Lightning McQueen and his friends from Radiator Springs invited cars from all over the world to celebrate race day in the town where it all began.

The town is decked out for the festivities to welcome visitors.

What Is Cars Land Made Of?

Cars Land includes:

  • 3 attractions
  • 3 dining locations
  • 2 shops

Attractions

Everything in Cars Land is completely immersive—walking through this land feels like walking through Radiator Springs, and the attractions are no exception.

Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree

This is the first attraction you’ll encounter as you step into Cars Land.

Mater has set up some music to celebrate our arrival, but he’s also attracted a bunch of tractors who started dancing! It’s our job to “ride” them and herd them back into the pen.

Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters

Being a proud Italian, Luigi has invited his cousins from Carsoli to celebrate.

Once you’ve explored his gorgeous shop, it’s time to join in with them for some traditional Italian group dancing 😅

Radiator Springs Racers

If strolling through the illuminated streets of Radiator Springs isn’t enough, this attraction takes you inside the most iconic scenes from the first film—with a high-octane finale!

Cars Land Dining

There are three dining options in Cars Land.

Fillmore’s Taste-In

Fillmore’s Taste-In is a quick-service snack kiosk offering packaged snacks and beverages.

Cozy Cone Motel

The Cozy Cone Motel features five different cones, each serving a different menu of food and drinks, including churros, ice cream, snacks, pretzels, and popcorn.

The front and side entrances of the motel serve as a meet-and-greet area where guests can encounter Lightning McQueen, Mater, and, more recently, Cruz Ramirez.

Flo’s V8 Cafe

Flo’s V8 Cafe is hands down the most beautiful and iconic building in this land—it’s also the most stunning quick-service restaurant I’ve ever seen!

Flo’s V8 Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert with traditional American comfort food.

Part of the indoor dining area is located inside Doc Hudson’s Ornament Valley Medical Clinic, and guests can also dine outdoors under gas pumps and at tables behind the restaurant.

Cars Land Shops

There are two shops in Cars Land.

Sarge’s Surplus Hut

The most famous military surplus shop in Radiator Springs.

You’ll find tons of irresistible gadgets here!

Final Tips & Conclusion

I recommend heading straight to Radiator Springs Racers first, as it consistently has long wait times, and only afterward exploring the other attractions.

Always keep an eye on the official park app so you don’t miss out on character meet-and-greets.

For everything else, the same 12 golden rules always apply for getting the most out of your theme park day!
