Creating this TOP 7 list of the best attractions at Walt Disney WORLD was no easy task, considering it’s the largest and most visited theme park complex in the world.

The entire Disney property is twice the size of Manhattan and includes:

  • 4 theme parks
  • 2 water parks
  • 1 shopping village
  • 34 resort hotels

With numbers like that, narrowing it down to just 7 attractions for this list was extremely difficult.

If you don’t believe me and want to dive deeper into learning about the 4 theme parks, check out this YouTube playlist where I describe each park and every attraction.

If you’re starting to plan your trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth,” I’ve put together a guide just for that.

HERE you can read the first chapter for free!

But honestly, I recommend joining one of my group trips — all you have to do is have fun and share your passion.

Back to my TOP 7 of the best attractions at Walt Disney WORLD — I based it on a simple but effective question:

“If this were my last time at WDW, which 7 attractions would I absolutely not want to miss?”

#7 Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain, located in Magic Kingdom, is *the* log flume attraction!

Tons of outdoor sections, loads of water, and a lot of dark ride-style scenes that always made me laugh and smile.

#6 The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™

I’ve always loved drop towers — they’re some of my all-time favorite rides.

There are 4 Tower of Terror rides in Disney parks around the world:

  • Orlando
  • Los Angeles
  • Paris
  • Tokyo

They’re all different, and I’ve had the honor of riding each one.

Even though the Guardians of the Galaxy version at the Avengers Campus in Disneyland California Adventure is now my favorite, this one at Disney’s Hollywood Studios still has a special place in my heart.

It’s the only one with a special movement feature the others don’t have — and it was the very first ever built.

#5 Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway is the first Disney attraction ever fully centered around Mickey Mouse.

That fact alone explains why it’s in my TOP 7!

This isn’t your typical cutesy Disney dark ride — it’s a full-blown cartoon adventure!

The mapping, colors, music, and motion — everything is just perfect here.

How can you not love it?

#4 Soarin’ Around the World

Is Soarin’ Around the World the best “flying theater” in the world? No.

Is it the best in all of Walt Disney World? Still no.

But it was the pioneer of a whole new attraction genre. To be fair, the first Soarin’ opened at Disneyland California Adventure, but I’m deeply attached to this one in Orlando — I have so many fond memories here.

I still remember the first time I rode it on my first trip to Orlando. Just being in Epcot was a dream, but after getting off this ride, I realized the dream was real.

#3 Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

I’ll admit it — I’m not a die-hard Star Wars fan, but *Rise of the Resistance* is the most immersive dark ride I’ve ever experienced!

The entire *Galaxy’s Edge* area sets the stage perfectly.

But the moment the pre-show starts, you realize you’re about to witness something groundbreaking.

It’s hard to explain to someone who hasn’t ridden it — the whole experience lasts about 20 minutes, and the multiple pre-shows build up to the ride’s climax. But honestly, the pre-shows alone are more exciting than most full attractions you’ve ever been on.

Mind-blowing!

#2 Avatar Flight of Passage

Avatar Flight of Passage

Avatar Flight of Passage is another one that’s hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it.

Technically it’s also a “flying theater,” but it’s the next evolution of what Soarin’ started.

Flying across Pandora on the back of a banshee — feeling it breathe, sensing its emotions — it’s indescribable.

I always leave with misty eyes from the sense of peace and harmony this attraction delivers.

#1 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind

At number one on my TOP 7 of Walt Disney World attractions is none other than *Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind!*

Besides being the most expensive attraction in the world, it’s incredibly hard to describe — I tried to in my review, but I think I failed.

The immersion is total. The projection quality, the smooth motion, and the music make you feel like you’re right there with the Guardians, fighting to save the universe.

Now It’s Your Turn!

Let me know in the comments your own TOP 7 attractions at Walt Disney WORLD.

You’ll have to make tough choices — but it’ll be worth it!
