If, like me, you grew up on Disney classics, *Beauty and the Beast* probably defined your childhood.
Its iconic song “Be Our Guest”, sung in the original version by Angela Lansbury, as well as the ballroom dancing scene, are unforgettable.
What if I told you that in Magic Kingdom, the most visited theme park in the world, there’s a restaurant entirely themed around the film, complete with a top-tier menu, immersive design, and special effects that will transport you right into the story?
I had the chance to dine there twice, and in this article, I’ll walk you through all the essential steps to book your experience and what you can expect inside.
How to Book Be Our Guest?
As I also explain in my guide to the “Happiest Place on Earth”, available on Amazon, reservations for all table-service restaurants can be made 60 days in advance.
As always, everything at Walt Disney World is handled through technology: you can book your restaurant either from your My Disney Experience account on the official website or via the park’s free app.
Here’s the process using the My Disney Experience app:
- Tap the “+” button at the bottom of the screen;
- Tap “Check Dining Availability”;
- Select the number of guests;
- Select the date;
- Select the type of experience (breakfast, lunch, dinner);
- Tap the funnel icon to narrow the search to a specific park;
- Choose the restaurant;
- Select from the available time slots;
- Proceed to confirm the reservation by filling in the required information.
To confirm your reservation, you’ll need to provide a credit/debit card.
At the time of booking, you WON’T be charged anything.
A potential no-show fee of $10 per person will only apply if you miss your reservation or cancel within two hours of the scheduled time.
My advice is to book the restaurants you want to try as early as possible.
If you forgot to book, you can try walking up to the restaurant and ask the host if there’s any availability—“maybe someone canceled or didn’t show up last minute.”
It’s unlikely, but it’s worth a shot.
To access the restaurant, you must have a valid park admission, show up at least 20 minutes before your reservation, and show your reservation either on the app or using your Magic Band.
The Dining Rooms of Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest is a fully immersive restaurant experience.
Right after entering, you’ll find a hallway to your right where a series of medieval suits of armor whisper to each other—it’s a real treat to listen to them.
This hallway leads to a grand waiting area packed with references to the characters inhabiting the castle.
But the real highlight of this restaurant is its three distinct dining rooms:
- The Grand Ballroom
- The Castle Gallery
- The West Wing
The Grand Ballroom
The first room you’ll see is The Grand Ballroom, the very dance hall where Belle, in her magnificent yellow gown, and the Beast share one of Disney’s most iconic dances.
As if the grandeur of this room wasn’t enough, they even recreated a magical snowfall outside the large windows at the back.
This is the kind of touch only Disney knows how to deliver.
The Castle Gallery
Located to the right of the main hall, The Castle Gallery is the library where Belle loves to spend most of her day.
The walls are adorned with paintings of the characters in their daily lives, but the centerpiece is a large rotating statue of Belle and the Beast dancing.
The West Wing
The West Wing is the “forbidden wing” from the film, where Belle is not allowed because it hides the reason why Prince Adam was transformed into the Beast.
This is the smallest but most immersive and detailed room in all of Be Our Guest.
The lighting is dim, the atmosphere dark and mysterious. Near the only window is a table holding the glass case with the enchanted rose that tracks the time the Beast has left to break the spell.
Each time a petal falls from the rose, a flash of lightning illuminates the room, and the portrait above the fireplace briefly reveals the Beast’s true identity.
All these details make “The West Wing” my favorite room at Be Our Guest.
How Much Does Be Our Guest Cost?
Be Our Guest is one of the most expensive restaurants in all of Walt Disney World and has two pricing tiers:
- Adult: $67
- Child (ages 3–9): $39
As is customary in the U.S., taxes (like our VAT) and a tip (around 18%) must be added to these prices.
In our case, we paid $77.19 per person.
The Menu at Be Our Guest
As one of the most expensive restaurants in Walt Disney World, and with a French-inspired theme, the food quality is excellent.
The lunch and dinner menus are currently the same, but I still recommend checking the menu on the official site.
There are two menu options—adult and child—which differ significantly, but the overall structure is the same.
Included in the price per person, you can choose:
- 1 appetizer
- 1 entrée
Dessert is fixed and varies between adult and child menus.
Soft drinks like water, Coke, and similar are included and unlimited.
You can purchase separately:
- Specialty non-alcoholic drinks
- Alcoholic drinks
- Wine and Champagne
- Beer
It’s Not Just About the Food
Be Our Guest is a mix between Character Dining and Themed Dining.
It’s not the kind of restaurant where you go to take photos with princesses, like many others in the resort, but here, since there’s a real host, it’s not uncommon to spot “The Beast” walking around to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Is It Worth It?
Yes, it’s worth it!
For everything it offers—theme, food quality, entertainment—and its location in Magic Kingdom, the most visited theme park in the world, your money will be well spent.
